The Mayor of Torrevieja has complained about the General State Budget. He has pointed out that Alicante Province only receives 84.46 euros per resident where others reach 1,103.53 euro for example.
Torrevieja is subject to reduced funding from its overall budget and price per head after losing its ‘big city’ status when it fell below 100,000 inhabitants. The Mayor claims the lack of funding is restricting mayor projects for the town
