Torrevieja City Council has been slammed for sloppy finance records, hot on the heels of on-going questions over its lack of transparency. The Council is facing scrutiny over reports that it paid out 27 million euros to various companies last year, without following the proper legal procedures. The sum under question equates to 25 percent of its entire municipal budget of 108 million euros.
