Tourist Tax

The Valencian Community has given the go-ahead for the so-called ‘tourist tax’ to be implemented across the region. An agreement between the major political parties will see holidaymakers charged tax on overnight stays. The rates vary depending on the type of accommodation: from 50 cents in campsites to 2 euros in 4-star hotels. The money collected will be used to improve tourist services and the industry in general.
