Two women aged 63 and 65 were injured in Alicante after a palm tree fell on them during the high winds. An ambulance was rushed to the scene and treated one lady for stomach and neck injuries and the other for leg injuries. Both were taken to hospital and are in a stable condition.
The province continues to stay on a yellow weather alert for strong winds and rain as storm Celia blows across the country.
