A family of Ukrainian refugees, forced to flee the Russian invasion, has been robbed of their 10,000 euro life-savings and passports after being targeted by two men in Alicante. The father of the family was approached in his parked car and asked for directions, while an accomplice grabbed the belongings from the back seat.
National Police were given descriptions of the Algerian men and two suspects were located the same day. Fingerprints from inside the car matched one man and several of the stolen items were recovered from their accommodation. Both have been arrested.
