The unemployment figures for September show an increase of 250 people across the Vega Baja compared to the previous month. This raises the total number of unemployed at 25,830. Torrevieja saw a significant increase in September with 464 more unemployed, taking its rate to 7,473 unemployed. The biggest drop, of 86 fewer unemployed, came from Callosa de Segura, followed by Dolores with a decrease of 44 people.
