There has been a 74 percent increase in first dose vaccines since the introduction of the Covid-passport scheme across the Valencia Region. Under the scheme a double vaccination certificate is required to gain entry into bars and restaurants with a capacity of more than 50 people.
On ´Black Friday’ weekend a total of 2,190 doses were given at walk-in vaccination centres and at many opening hours had to be extended to meet demand.
Last week ended with 7,524 doses administered, compared to 4,331 in the first week of November. In Alicante Province the figures equate to a rise of 54 percent.
