The residents of Orihuela Costa are at risk of drinking water supply cuts by Hidraqua, the company that manages the service. This has been revealed in a report to the City Council which says that the capacity to transport drinking water to homes on the coast is already at 100% capacity. Currently, the daily water demand is around 28,500 cubic meters per day however, with the planned new urban developments, it would reach 39,300 cubic metres.
