Weather warnings have been issued by weather agency Aemet for today.
Strong winds and rough seas are forecast for the Canaries, with amber and yellow alerts in place from midday until late on Saturday night.
Whilst stong winds, rough seas and torrential rainfall is forecast for the Costa Blanca, with up to 20 mm of rain falling per square metre per hour.
Winds in excess of 70km/h are also forecast, with people being advised to avoid exposed and coastal areas, and not to bathe in the seas.
