Wild Boar Rescued in Rojales

Rojales Local Police have rescued an adult wild boar that had fallen into the canal and could not get out due to the height of its walls. Officers acted quickly as the animal was exhausted and close to drowning. Finally, and with great difficulty given the size and strength of the animal it was pulled clear. However, once rescued the wild boar, which was estimated to weigh about 100 kilos, ran off from the officers. Not native to this part of Spain, it is not known where it came from.
